Israel’s Mossad chief is set to meet Qatari PM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Europe to resume hostage release talks, Axios reported. This comes after Tel Aviv cancelled the Mossad chief’s planned trip to Qatar to restart talks on a possible second hostage release deal. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had called off the trip, stopping senior Israeli officials from going to Qatar to restart negotiations. Mossad director David Barnea will now travel to Europe to resume talks to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. It would be the first meeting between senior Israeli and Qatari officials since the collapse of the seven-day ceasefire. The previous deal was derailed two weeks ago after Hamas refused to release the remaining women it is holding hostage. Watch this video to know more about the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
