Israel’s commando units raided two schools in Gaza City’s Rimal neighbourhood, where Hamas operatives were holed up, according to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). The IDF said the troops battled and killed several Hamas gunmen in the area, and operatives inside the school surrendered to troops.Meanwhile, troops of the Kiryati Brigade raided several apartments in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis used by Hamas. The IDF said the troops found “many” weapons and tunnels used by Hamas operatives. The IDF said it struck a building in Jabalia area of Gaza after its soldiers identified suspicious movement on the roof of a building.
