Israel, Qatar Resume Hostage Talks, But Netanyahu Reveals “Criticism” Amid Doha’s “Genocide” Dig

Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu said his country has serious criticisms about Qatar while hinting new talks were underway to rescue more hostages. Netanyahu’s comment came after his country’s intelligence chief David Barnea met with Qatar’s PM in Norway to resume hostage deal talks. Barnea was initially supposed to visit Doha for the talks but Tel Aviv cancelled the trip. The two sides eventually met in Europe on December 15 to discuss the possibility of another truce between Israel and Hamas. Qatar is the go-to mediator for the US and Israel in the ongoing war dealing with Hamas. Qatar maintains close ties with both Hamas and the West, including the US, and Qatari officials say they are guided by a desire to reduce conflict. However, some Israeli officials have pointed to Qatar as among those responsible for the attack, saying the Gulf Arab state is supporting Hamas. Watch this video to know more.
