Hillary Clinton is expected to have an increased role in Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential re-election campaign.

Her participation is seen as a way to provide political cover for Biden amid various issues.

However, her involvement raises concerns given her past claims about the legitimacy of the 2016 election, which contrasts with the present administration’s prosecution of Donald Trump for allegedly interfering in the 2020 election.

Clinton recently wrote an opinion piece for The Atlantic defending Biden’s response to the Israel-Hamas conflict.

She also reportedly defended him after a heckler condemned Biden for “warmongering” during one of her events.

In November, Clinton reportedly hosted a fundraiser for The Women’s Leadership Forum that raised slightly less than $1 million for Biden’s 2024 campaign.

Hillary Clinton has a history of casting doubt or rejecting election results.

• September 2017: Clinton said she would not “rule out” questioning the legitimacy of the 2016 election.

• March 2019: Clinton smiled in agreement when former State Sen. Hank Sanders (D-AL) said the election was stolen from her.

• May 2019: Clinton said the 2016 election was “stolen” from her.

• September 2019: Clinton dismissed Trump as an “illegitimate president” and said “he knows” he stole the 2016 presidential election.

• October 2019: Clinton said that Trump knows that he is “an illegitimate president.”

• December 2019: Clinton nodded in agreement that she won the election. July 2020: Clinton said Trump is scared for Americans to see “how illegitimate his victory” was.

• October 2020: Clinton claimed that the 2016 presidential election was not conducted legitimately, saying, “we still don’t really know what happened.”
