Israel’s worldwide plan to eliminate Hamas leaders is likely to be counterproductive, impractical and ineffective, according to experts. Netanyahu is said to have instructed Mossad, Israel’s intelligence service, to “assassinate all the leaders of Hamas wherever they are.”The head of Shin Bet was recently heard admitting that Hamas leaders would be killed “in Gaza, in the West Bank, in Lebanon, in Turkey, in Qatar, everywhere.”However, not everyone is convinced by Israel’s campaign to target top-ranked Hamas leaders. Yossi Melman, a journalist and author who has covered the Israeli security services for decades, said the assassination strategy “doesn’t solve anything.”
