Mourners in Iraq on December 27 attended the funeral of a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard killed in an Israeli airstrike outside the Syrian capital Damascus.Three security sources told Reuters that Sayyed Razi Mousavi was responsible for coordinating the military alliance between Syria and Iran.The Revolutionary Guards said Israel would suffer for Monday’s (December 25) killing of Mousavi, who held the rank of brigadier-general.Crowds at the funeral in Najaf carried posters of Mousavi, as well as flags of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces and Iraq’s Shi’ite paramilitary group Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba.Israel’s military has not commented.
