Kim Jong Un was seen inspecting North Korea’s most advanced drones in images posted to the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The previously undisclosed inspection by Kim pertains to the Saetbyol-4 and Saetbyol-9. The drones were officially unveiled in July 2023 at the “Weapons and Equipment Exhibition”, which was attended by Kim and Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu. North Korean media had also provided brief videos showing both the Saetbyol-4 and Saetbyol-9 in flight.
