Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russian investigators have concluded that a US Patriot air defence system was used to shoot down a Russian Il-76 plane on January 24. On January 31, Putin said Ukraine had used the US Patriot air defence system to shoot down the Russian plane that killed all 74 people on board. Putin’s claim comes after a representative of the emergency services said the plane was shot down by a Western-made anti-aircraft missile system.
