Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says that 75% of Hamas battalions have been destroyed in Gaza. The Israeli military reiterated an evacuation order to Palestinian civilians west of Gaza City, in the north, and much of Khan Younis. Israeli police said officers shot dead a 14-year-old Palestinian who attempted to stab them in the West Bank town of al-Eizariya. The United Nations relief agency in Gaza, UNRWA, says one of its trucks waiting to take aid to northern Gaza was hit by Israeli fire. Spain announced an additional $3.8 million in aid to UNRWA, which is facing a cash crunch after several nations suspended their funding. France has asked Israel to rein in settler violence and inflammatory comments that “sow hatred of the Palestinians”. Netanyahu said France had been consistent in its support of Israel, including on the “absurd” genocide case filed against Israel at the ICJ.
