Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is fighting two wars simultaneously, one on the battlefield against Russia and the other against corruption inside Ukraine. Both wars are interrelated as corruption inside Ukraine is now hurting the war against Russia. In 2019, Zelensky assumed office on the promise of fighting domestic corruption. However, the invasion of Russia has made the Ukrainian economy principally oriented towards the war efforts.
