Pakistan News | Pakistan’s Former PM Nawaz Sharif Claims Victory in Pakistan Elections 2024 | N18VPakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday claimed victory in national elections, says that his Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party has emerged as the largest in the results.Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced that its leader, Nawaz Sharif, is poised to deliver a “victory speech” following the final results of the general elections. The PML-N claims to be in touch with independent candidates supported by imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The election results are being slow to emerge, causing frustration and accusations of rigging, violence, and a nationwide mobile phone shutdown. Both PTI and PML-N assert victory, with Sharif seeking a record third term, backed by the powerful Army. PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz stated that the party is emerging as the single largest in the centre and Punjab. Independent candidates, Dar claims, are contacting PML-N and may join within the next 72 hours, as per the Constitution. Dar contends that the PML-N is leading in Punjab and has a majority in the National Assembly seats. Sharif, despite a potential majority, expressed a willingness to collaborate with other parties.
