Pakistan Election Result 2024: Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf asked the Pakistan election commission to announce the final results for the country’s general elections by midnight or face protests in areas where results are awaited, news agency PTI reported. The party further declared that they would form the government at the centre as well as in Punjab. Imran Khan’s close aide and media advisor, Zulfi Bukhari, spoke to news agency Reuters, confirming that the party banner for independent candidates backed by the jailed former PM’s party, will be announced within the next 24 hours. So far, no clear victor has emerged yet even as vote-counting nears completion. Both Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif have declared victory. But with both parties falling short of a majority, the country is looking at a fractured mandate.
