The future of the US Air Force’s Hypersonic “Mayhem” program appears uncertain. Funding issues for the USAF Mayhem program could potentially lead to significant delays. Project Mayhem was set up to create a hypersonic bomber for the USAF, an air- breathing Mach 10 replacement for the SR-71.
