The US said its military engagements in the Red Sea have been successful despite increased attacks from Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The Pentagon addressed concerns regarding increased Houthi attacks on vessels in the Red Sea on February 22. The US Pentagon also acknowledged a recent uptick in attacks over the past two to three days. The attacks have led to major shipping vessels avoiding the Red Sea altogether, adding delays and exorbitant fees. And despite the increased presence of Western militaries in the region, Houthi attacks have continued.
