Hezbollah’s Fires “Rocket Salvo” At Israeli Base, US Strikes Houthi Weapons, Gaza Desperate For Aid

Israeli military says around 40 missiles have been launched towards Israel from southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said it fired a “salvo of rockets from several launchers” at the Meron Air Control Base on Mount Meron in the Upper Galilee area. It said the rocket fire was in response to Israel’s first strikes of the war on eastern Lebanon that killed two of the group’s fighters. Sirens have sounded in the Israeli towns of Sa`sa’, Kfar Hoshan, Dovif, and Safsufa, reports say.Meanwhile, The US military says it has destroyed three unmanned surface vessels and two anti-ship cruise missiles. The US Centcom said that the weapons were prepared to launch towards the Red Sea from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen. The Centcom also said that it destroyed a aerial drone that was over the Red Sea. All the weapons “presented an imminent threat to merchant vessels and to the US Navy ships in the region,” it says.
