Months of political deadlock in the US Congress over a $60 billion aid package for Ukraine has forced Kyiv to seek alternative donors urgently. This is crucial for funding its war effort against Russia and preventing significant cuts to public spending. Ukraine, with an $87 billion budget for this year, has allocated almost half to defence-related expenses. However, facing a gap as domestic revenues amount to only $46 billion, the country relies on international partners and cuts in non-military spending to bridge the deficit.
