Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said local Palestinians associated with the Palestinian Authority (PA) should govern Gaza after the war. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said some 15 terror operatives holed up at a Hamas site in central Gaza’s Nuseirat were killed in an airstrike on March 15. Fatah hit back at Hamas over its criticism of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s appointment of a new prime minister. The first aid vessel to reach Gaza, operated by the Spanish charity Open Arms, offloaded 200 tonnes of food aid to the besieged enclave. A Bedouin Israeli man who entered Gaza in 2016 and allegedly joined Hamas died in Israeli custody, according to Israeli media.
