Chinese scientists have reportedly developed a new type of war drone unlike any ever seen on the battlefield. The research, led by Professor Shi Zhiwei of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, is a breakthrough in air separation technology. Initially resembling a consumer-grade Chinese DJI multirotor, the drone can swiftly split into two, three or even six smaller drones upon reaching the target airspace.
