IS Claims Deadly Attack On Moscow Concert Hall, Russia Asks US To “Prove Ukraine Innocence”

At least 60 people were killed and over 145 suffered injuries in a shooting attack at a Moscow concert hall on March 22, Reuters reported. Several gunmen dressed in camouflage burst into the Crocus City Hall on the western edge of Moscow. The gunmen, brandishing automatic rifles such as Kalashnikovs, sprayed visitors with gunfire, according to Russian media. Russian news reports said assailants threw explosives, triggering a massive blaze that burned down the roof of the building. The attack came just days after Vladimir Putin won a record fifth term in the Russian presidential elections Putin was receiving regular updates about the shooting, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. In his first remarks about the attack, Putin wished victims “speedy recovery,” as per Russia’s deputy PM.
