French President Emmanuel Macron expressed astonishment at a senior Russian official’s diatribe against France. Macron denounced the “lack of dignity” of recent virulent comments made by Duma deputy speaker Piotr Tolstoy. Pyotr Tolstoy, the deputy speaker of the Russian lower house of parliament, spoke against France to a correspondent of France’s BFMTV in Moscow.
