Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro claims the US has established secret military bases on the disputed territory of the Essequibo region. Maduro said Venezuela has verified information regarding secret US military bases established by the US Southern Command and the CIA. The CIA ia also allegedly “preparing for an escalation against Venezuela”, as per the Venezuelan President.
