The US and Russia are discussing a prisoner exchange agreement, according to a senior Russian diplomat. The deal could possibly involve the release of Evan Gershkovich, a jailed Wall Street Journal reporter. Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the “dialogue on this topic is being conducted through a specialised closed channel”.
