Israel war’s cabinet held another meeting on April 16 to discuss a response to the Iranian missile and drone attack. The Times of Israel reported that the govt wants to keep Iran guessing by delaying a potential response. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani denied reports that missiles or drones were launched from Iraq during Iran’s attack on Israel. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement said that Tehran’s strike was proof that Israel has lost its deterrence against Iran. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said Israel will only come to know the true scale and intensity of Iran’s military response if they decide to attack. White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby reiterated the Biden administration’s opposition to a separate aid bill for Israel.
