“Not In Next 30 Years…” Scholz Warns Ukraine On NATO Entry, Putin On Uzbek Trip, Zelensky In Spain

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on May 26 that Ukraine might not become a NATO member for the next 30 years. Scholz said, “You know the decision, it is not expected in the near future. Maybe not even in the next 30 years”. The Baltic states and Poland have not ruled out sending their troops to Ukraine if Russia succeeds on the battlefield. France and Germany will look at all peace scenarios and support for Ukraine at an upcoming meeting of the French-German defense and security council. Spain has pledged to provide military equipment to Ukraine worth $1.08 billion under a bilateral agreement signed on May 27.
