The first group of military instructors from France has been already dispatched to Ukraine, said a Ukrainian lawmaker. “My sources informed me that the first group of French instructors is already on its way to Ukraine,” said Oleksiy Goncharenko on social media.Earlier, reports quoted unnamed sources as saying that France could send military trainers to Ukraine as early as next week.The moves signals a shift as some of Kyiv’s western allies had opposed such decision fearing that it may lead to a direct conflict with Russia. Paris is likely to announce its decision during the forthcoming trip by the Ukrainian president to France.
