Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denied Russian forces had captured a village in the eastern Sumy region. Chechen leader and Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov said on June 9 that Russian forces had seized the border village of Ryzhivka. A senior Russian lawmaker has warned that F-16 jets and military airfields outside Ukraine will become legitimate targets for Moscow. Andrei Kartapolov said that they will be targeted if they take part in combat missions against Russian forces.
