NATO is in talks to deploy more nuclear weapons and move them from storage to standby to counter Russia, China and North Korea’s nuclear arsenal. NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg told the The Telegraph that there were live consultations between members to use transparency around its nuclear arsenal as a deterrent. Stoltenberg told the British daily that NATO will remain a nuclear alliance till such weapons exist. Meanwhile, The Kremlin said on June 17 that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s remarks about talks on deploying more nuclear weapons were an escalation.
