At least two people have died and thousands more evacuated in New Mexico due to wildfires. According to New Mexico Governor, the wildfire has damaged about 1400 structures in the area, including 500 homes. Grisham has requested a major disaster declaration from US President Joe Biden for the South Fork and Salt fires. The governor also declared a state of emergency in the Lincoln County and the Mescalero Apache Reservation due to the two wildfires.
