New video footage appears to capture the first combat employment of Russia’s 3000-kilogram (6,600-pound) glide bomb in Ukraine. The footage posted by a pro-Kremlin military blogger appears to show the Russian strike using an FAB-3000 M54 “dumb” aircraft bomb.The FAB-3000 M54 is a highly destructive capability that analysts say could be a tremendous problem for Kyiv.As per reports, the “dumb” bomb was turned into a standoff weapon using a UPMK (Universal Planning And Correction Module), meaning that it could have been air-launched from far away.Before the alleged attack, the largest aerial glide bomb deployed by Russia was a UMPK-equipped 1,500-kilogram (3,300-pound) class FAB-1500 M54.
