At least four people were killed in an alleged Ukrainian long-range missile strike on Russian-held Crimea on June 23, said Russian officials. The attack that targeted Sevastopol city on the peninsula is also said to have left nearly 100 wounded. The Russian Defence Ministry said four of the US-supplied missiles were shot down by air defence systems and the ammunition of a fifth detonated in mid-air. The ministry said Ukraine struck “the civilian infrastructure of the city of Sevastopol with ATACMS missiles equipped with cluster warheads.”The attack comes a day after Russia’s bombing of Ukraine’s Kharkiv killed three people and left several injured.
