Multiple reports from the meeting said National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir rejected Gallant’s support for a diplomatic solution in Lebanon.Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich accused military chief Herzi Halevi of “going to sleep” before Hamas’s October 7 attack. Netanyahu intervened, at Gallant’s behest, after Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Justice Minister Yariv Levin criticised Halevi.
