A senior Iranian military commander said the country is waiting for a chance to launch another direct attack on Israel. This would follow a barrage of hundreds of missiles and drones fired in April, Iranian media reported on July 2. “We are hopeful of the arrival of the opportunity for [conducting] Operation True Promise 2,” Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said. The IRGC* commander made the remarks as he met with kin of Palestinians killed in “Israeli aggression”, as per Mehr news agency.
