On November 1, the Israeli army released a video claiming to show an airstrike that killed senior Hamas official Izz al-Din Kassab in Khan Younis, Gaza. Kassab was described as a key figure coordinating with other groups in the region. The release comes as prospects for a ceasefire between Israel and its adversaries, Hamas and Hezbollah, diminished, following Israeli airstrikes that reportedly killed at least 68 people in Gaza and targeted southern suburbs of Beirut.
