The UN Security Council on May 5 held a closed-door consultation to discuss rising tensions between India and Pakistan post the Pahalgam terror attack. The meeting was held at the request of Pakistan which claimed it wanted to brief member-states about “India’s aggressive behaviour.” Envoys reportedly questioned Pakistan over the involvement of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Pahalgam attack, according to news agency PTI.The UNSC called for “restraint” and “dialogue” between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
