Venezuela on Aug. 25 announced the deployment of 15,000 troops to the Colombia border as three US warships approached its coast. The deployment is part of “Operation Relampago [Lightning Operation] de Catatumbo” which will be launched in phases to ‘fight drug trafficking’. Meanwhile, the Russian milblog channel Rybar on Aug. 25 suggested that Moscow may deliver Iranian-made “Shahed-131/136” attack drones to Venezuela.
